{RJ and Liz Talk at the Palace}

(RJ walks into the Palace Bar, sees Liz, and walks over to her table)

RJ: "Liz."

Liz: "Hello, RJ."

RJ: "I wanted to thank you for agreeing to this."

Liz: "I've been expecting to hear from you In fact, I think I owe you an explanation."

RJ: "You, you think you know what I want to talk to you about?"

Liz: "Yeah, it's about Keri moving out of your place to come live with me, isn't it?"

RJ: "Yeah, yeah, that's what I wanted to talk to you about."

Liz: "Look, it's not gonna be like it was last time, so don't worry, okay? You're still gonna be a big part of her life. It's not forever, either. It's just, you know, we just... Keri and I feel like it makes sense."

RJ: "Yeah, well, hey -- look, you don't have to convince me. I- I'm fine with it."

Liz: "You're being awfully nice about this."

RJ: "Well, as you say, Keri's going to need a lot of help - a lot of advice that I'm certainly not qualified to give her. I mean, I'm less experienced being motherly than I am being fatherly."

Liz: "Okay, look... why do I have the feeling that you're really not as okay with the arrangement as you're carrying on?"

RJ: "Well... I do, I feel like I'm losing something, but it might not be about now... it might be about then."

Liz: "Maybe it's about us?"

RJ: "Liz."

Liz: "Yeah?"

RJ: "If I hadn't gone to prison back then, you would have told me that you were carrying my baby?"

Liz: "Of course."

RJ: (Smiles) "I would have known Keri her- her whole life."

Liz: "You and I?"

Hank: (Walks up) "Well, look who we have here."

RJ: "Henry."

Hank: "Catching up on old times?"

RJ: "No, no - not exactly."

Hank: "How's everything?"

Liz: "Keri's pregnancy's going well, so everything's just fine."

Hank: "No complications?"

Liz: "Not so far."

Hank: "Good. Look, you give me a call if you and Keri need any help moving into the new place, all right?"

Liz: "I will."

Hank: (Turns to leave) "Okay."

RJ: "You know about this - this move?"

Hank: "Something wrong with that?"

RJ: "Well, since when?!"

Hank: "What difference does it make?"

RJ: "Look, I'm Keri's roommate - I'm the girl's father! I'm the one who should know things about her that you don't - why is it always the other way around?"

Hank: "You're exaggerating, RJ."

RJ: "Am I? Well, no, see - I didn't know the girl existed and you're sending checks to her mother."

Hank: "Look, are we gonna have to go through this again?"

RJ: "No, we don't have to go through it again, you just need to tell me what else you know about Keri and Elizabeth that I don't."

(Hank remembers when Liz told him about her and Antonio, then Hank and Liz exchange a few noticeable looks. Scene ends.)

Hank: "Liz had a good reason not to tell you about Keri."

RJ: "Better than yours! But then, I'm sorry, take her side. You always did."

Hank: "Yeah, I did. When I agreed with the choices."

RJ: "When didn't you? No, that's right, I'm sorry - you two are perfect. You and she never make mistakes. (Hank and Liz exchange more odd looks) What? What? What did I say?"

Hank: "Look, I've gotta go. I forgot, I have a meeting with the mayor. You two have fun." (Leaves)

RJ: "Well, now that is something."

Liz: "What?"

RJ: "Henry forgot an appointment. Henry never forgets anything."

Liz: "You know, must be catching. I just, suddenly, I remembered, I gotta be somewhere too. Thanks for talking. Bye."
